David Gryn is a seasoned art professional with a rich background in curating and promoting artists' time based media. Currently Director of Daata, a groundbreaking online platform he founded for the sale of artist-commissioned video, sound, and web art editions, he has been instrumental in shaping the platform since its launch in May 2015. Under his leadership, Daata has become a pioneering space, introducing audiences to a diverse array of digital artworks.
Gryn's journey with Daata began with the launch of Daata Editions, where he successfully brought together artists to create unique video, sound, and web art editions. The platform, which debuted in May, 2015, has continued to thrive, commissioning over 100 artists, showcasing the works of renowned artists such as Petra Cortright, Tracey Emin, Rashaad Newsome, Jacolby Satterwhite, Matt Copson, Jeremy Couillard, Rachel Rossin and many more. Daata's Season One, launched at NADA New York in 2015, marked a significant milestone, further solidifying Daata's presence in the art world, followed by great projects released at art fairs and art venues around the world: Frieze, NADA, Art Basel, Art Rio, Art Cologne, EXPO CHICAGO, Photofairs Shanghai, Art Fair Philippines, Art LA Contemporary, Jodhpur Arts Week ... and many more

David worked with the Directors of Art Basel, to work with them as Curator of Film and Sound at Art Basel in Miami Beach between 2010-2018 to build a robust programme of artists film, video and sound for each annual art fair, working with over 300 galleries to elicit the best curated program each year and to empower them to show time-based media artworks. The programme was shown on the 7500 sq foot screening wall of the Frank Gehry designed New World Symphony with 160 speaker surround sound system and an audience capacity of 1000.
