About me

Michelle Finocchi is the visionary Founder and Chief Connector of Moving the Needle (MTN), a pioneering peer-led community of women executives dedicated to taking impactful action on social and environmental issues. Under her leadership, MTN connects women leaders across diverse sectors, fostering strategic relationships, providing vital information, and offering unwavering support.

After an influential three years operating within Chief, a private women's network, MTN transitioned into its independent entity in 2023. Michelle spearheaded this transition, ensuring that the MTN network is now accessible to all executive women leaders. Her commitment extends to expanding services that connect, inform, and foster while measuring impact, solidifying MTN as a transformative force in the realm of women's leadership.

As a communications-driven marketing executive, I’m known for creating awareness that drives action, community, and rapid growth.

I'm also a 3x founder, currently building a cross-sector venture where senior women leaders collaborate in creating social and environmental impact. Before that I helped launch and lead a grassroots activist brand, Swing Left, to become a nationwide movement that drove historic electoral wins.

My career started in creative industries—art, fashion and tech. As my focus has shifted to impact, I'm interested in how these platforms and business in general fuel social change.

Above all, I'm a "doer," and have found meaning in connecting others with the ways they can effectively make a difference.

I'm also a communications advisor to social entrepreneurs and funders, and deeply enjoy supporting other founders and marketing leaders working to create impact.
