Notably, he played a pivotal role in Artnet's venture into the NFT space, serving as the Head of Artnet's NFT auctions and sales.
Johannes Vogt's achievements at Artnet include restructuring the entire department, implementing data-analytics driven sales strategies, and expanding the use of in-house user data across all departments. Under his guidance, the department experienced a 15 percentage point increase in STR rates and achieved the two highest grossing sales in the company's history. He exceeded sales goals consistently, achieving a remarkable 26% Year-Over-Year growth.
Furthermore, Johannes Vogt initiated strategic partnerships with collectors and advisors to diversify the auction portfolio. This expansion included dedicated sales for Latin American and African Contemporary Art, demonstrating his commitment to global inclusivity within the art market.
Before his role at Artnet, Johannes Vogt established himself as a formidable force in the art world through the Johannes Vogt Gallery. Over nearly a decade, he curated and managed 80+ exhibitions, participated in 30+ art fairs, and led sales of over 700 artworks to an international clientele. His leadership extended to securing secondary market consignments and negotiating up to six-figure acquisitions. Additionally, he managed a dedicated staff of 4-6 individuals and successfully placed works in museum collections.
