After seven years as editor-in-chief of Artnet News, during which I oversaw its transformation into both the most widely read art publication and the fastest-growing branch of Artnet’s business, I am moving on from my role to embark on a new adventure.

It has been the pride and privilege of my career to work with the extraordinary team of journalists at Artnet News, and I owe them my deepest gratitude. The publication we put out together is something truly special.

I am also proud that I was able to drive a string of innovations at Artnet outside the newsroom per se, including these accomplishments:

– Conceiving and launching Artnet News Pro, a subscription product targeted at art market participants that has drawn 4,000+ ultra-high-value members to date

– Creating a data-driven methodology to forecast the cost of editorial traffic generation to hit variable advertising targets, enabling Artnet News to scale its audience to 160M pageviews last year—a more than 450 percent increase since my taking over 

– Launching and very enjoyably hosting the Art Angle podcast, which has gained over 2 million downloads to date and regularly tops Apple Podcasts’s visual arts rankings

– Inventing the Artnet Intelligence Report, a labor of love that fuses data with peerless reporting and analysis to serve up the truth about the art market

– Charting the evolutionary pathway for Artnet’s Price Database
