About me

Helen is a strategic marketing, communications, and events management consultant for private and corporate clients. She is the Executive Director of The Winter Show, America's preeminent art, antiques, and design fair. In her role, she oversees the organization's annual event held at the historic Park Avenue Armory in New York City. The Winter Show stands as a testament to Helen's leadership, featuring top experts in the fine and decorative arts and showcasing a diverse array of works spanning 5,000 years. Under her guidance, the fair maintains the highest standards of quality, with each exhibited object rigorously vetted for authenticity, date, and condition by a committee of 150 experts from the United States and Europe. Beyond its artistic significance, The Winter Show serves as an annual benefit for East Side House Settlement, a community-based organization dedicated to educational and technological initiatives as pathways out of poverty in the Bronx and Northern Manhattan.

In addition to her role at The Winter Show, Helen serves as the Principal of Allen & ..., a consulting business she launched in 2016. Recognized by Crain’s New York Business as one of the "40 Under 40 Rising Stars" in 2007, Helen has utilized her business development, management, and communications skills to provide strategic planning, marketing, public relations, and creative development programs for various corporations and individuals. Her expertise extends to the arts, design, and luxury markets, where she advises select clients and collaborates with companies such as Head and Hand PR and Empire Global Ventures on communications and business development. Helen's specialties include business development, communications and promotions strategies, industry introductions, event production and management, influencer and celebrity seeding, as well as writing and editing.
